Our Slow Food kitchen is committed to using only regional, seasonally fresh ingredients, with focus on freshness and quality. It doesn’t get fresher than straight from our own garden. Adjacent to Hotel Schwarzschmied, we therefore cultivate vegetables and fruits in the natural garden of Villa Arnica, harvesting fresh produce regularly. Spread over 3,000 square meters, the garden yields a bounty of crisp and juicy delights that supply all of our houses - Hotel Schwarzschmied, Villa Arnica and 1477 Reichhalter in Lana as well as Parkhotel Mondschein in Bolzano. This way, we ensure reliable quality that you can watch grow.

Freshly harvested vegetables boast the highest nutrient content. Without long storage times or transport routes, our produce is as good for you as it is for the environment. Fresh, crisp, and full of flavor. A wholesome diet requires healthy soil, water and the loving touch of our gardeners. They grow radishes, onions, lettuce and kale and cultivate rocket, parsley, chives, celery, basil, tomatoes, peppers, carrots, rosemary and sunflowers... A green paradise!
