Sound Healing - therapeutic sounds
The findings of quantum physics show that everything in the universe consists of vibrations and frequencies - including sound. Sound is therefore a fundamental aspect of our being. This is why sound healing, also known as "sound medicine", is one of the oldest healing methods. Every organ, every bone and every cell in our body has a specific resonance frequency, and sound therapy utilises precisely these frequencies for healing.

This is why sound healing, also known as "sound medicine", is one of the oldest healing methods. Every organ, every bone and every cell in our body has a specific resonance frequency, and sound therapy utilises precisely these frequencies for healing.
Through the targeted use of rhythms and frequencies, it is possible to influence our brainwaves in such a way that they transform our everyday consciousness into a meditative state. In this state of altered perception, we are able to experience profound healing processes. Various techniques are used to show how sound can contribute to healing in a therapeutic setting.
Emotional release: Targeted sounds release emotional blockages, allowing you to experience a renewal of emotional well-being.
Improved sleep: The calming frequencies of our instruments support healthy, restful sleep.
Clear thoughts: Experience how your mental clarity is promoted by the harmonious sounds that give you concentration and mental freshness.
Energetic Balance: Our Sound Healing sessions aim to balance your body's energetic system and give you a sense of wholeness.
During sound meditation or sound therapy, our brain can shift from the active beta state to the more relaxed alpha and theta states and even into the deep delta state. In this state, the brain waves slow down, which leads to a reduction in our thought activity and brings us into a pure "being" state. This change promotes the release of serotonin, supports relaxation and recovery of the body and provides space for regeneration. Positive effects of a sound treatment can include increased creativity, a clear mind, improved sleep and a cheerful mood.
In addition, vibrations and frequencies can release physical tensions and sharpen our interoception, i.e. our inner perception. This enables a deeper connection to ourselves and helps us to better understand our needs and emotions, which in turn can release emotional blockages.
On a spiritual level, harmonious sounds promote the realisation that we are part of a greater whole, which can lead to deeper, more meaningful insights.

About Caroline Cohen
Caroline was responsible for curating the Sonorium at the Hotel Schwarzschmied and training staff in its use.
Caroline studied theatre and clown in Paris before moving to India in 1999, where she still lives in Auroville. There she studied and practised holistic singing, Carnatic singing from South India, as well as various types of yoga such as hatha yoga, nada yoga (sound yoga), tantric yoga and Sri Aurobindo's integral yoga. The exchange with her teachers and the practice with musicians, who see music primarily as an instrument of consciousness in the service of the soul, have strongly influenced her and radically changed her way of singing and living music. With this in mind, she created the musical meditation Ikaroma. Attracted by the exploration of conscious breathing and sound for physical and mental health, she trained in the lyrical bel canto singing technique; a technique that, in addition to the search for the unique colour of the voice, has a great interest in the health of the vocal cords and diaphragm. She has been singing, teaching and leading workshops in India and France for eleven years.
